Velvet is a 4-year-old Warmblood mare. She
is not a rescue but a mare that was loved very much by her owner, who
had a change in life circumstances and needed to find a good home for
Velvet. She donated her to our rescue in February 2009 because she
wanted peace of mind to know, should Velvet ever be put up for adoption,
that she would be protected under contract as would her baby, Amadeus.
Velvet is healthy and very sweet -- her disposition is just
awesome.
Because of an old injury, she will be adopted out as a companion horse
only.
